“This short was excellent, from its concept to its theme to its execution. And we believe that this film exemplifies Yale filmmaking in a way that put it above the others in this competition.”
- Yale In Hollywood Fest 2022
“HOW I GOT INTO YALE” screams Youtube title after title. “A Day in my Life as a Yale Student” narrates a TikTok. Smiling faces, branded content, and above it all Yale University as the perfect backdrop. The standard image of an ivy league college student doesn’t include a ring light, camera, or 558K followers on TikTok. For Kahlil Greene, proclaimed “Gen-Z Historian”, of TikTok and Instagram fame, his Yale career has launched him into internet stardom. However, he’s not a standout case. Ris Igrec, YouTuber, with 157k followers, makes “vlogs about the chaos that is being a college student.” With around 12,000 students, influencers at Yale are a common find.
